Community Service Project

The Community Service project is unique in its concept. It gives you an opportunity first to attain a training which is recognized internationally at a nominal cost and then a placement to apply practically what ever you have learnt on the course. Apart from academically enhancing your skills it also gives you the rare opportunity to serve in communities that require English teachers but cannot afford them. In other words you do serve a noble cause, that of teaching where it is most required.

If you are a native speaker or your English language skills are near native and you are above the age of 18 then you are eligible to do the Community Service Project. After the completion of the Project you are now armed with a teacher training certificate and an experience which will help you to teach English as a second language or a foreign language anywhere in the world. Not just regular school teaching, you can be absorbed as Corporate trainers, Language School trainers, Voice and accent trainers and Soft skill trainers. With the growing need for learning English in Non English speaking nations the demand far exceeds the supply. So there is never a dearth of teaching opportunities for TESOL trained teachers.

There are several international volunteer work projects where one has to sustain on his own, others require a commitment that leaves you with very little freedom and time, while the multiple volunteer abroad companies are expensive.
The Community Service project Through TEFL International offers a 4 week TESOL course and certification in preparation for teaching English abroad and then work in a placement putting your skills to work but also helping to improve the quality of life for a community that normally wouldn’t be able to afford a native English-speaking teacher.
 

About the course

Cultural Extremes partners with TEFL International to provide participants with an internationally recognized certification in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). TEFL International is a non-profit international training organization that creates intercultural opportunities for their customers through teacher education, language training, camps and internships.

You have four exotic locations to choose from. Experience the sites and sounds while you are doing the course and then volunteer to teach for 3 to 4 months in order to immerse yourself in the culture.
