TEFL International has launched two Projects for all those who have always wanted to visit China and at the same time wanted to do something worthwhile. The Zhuhai Project
This program comprises first 3 weeks of TESOL training. A course that is validated and recognized internationally. A course structure that gives you the confidence to face a classroom and understand the HOW of language learning. This is followed by 6 months of teaching in different parts of this huge country. You will earn about 5000 RMB (where in local teachers earn about 1000 RMB) for the first 4 months and then 6200 for the next two months or as long as you would like to continue. This amounts to about $4200. The schools will also provide free accommodation, medical insurance and free Chinese lessons. However the experience that you will gain in absorbing a new culture will not only enrich your life but might change your perception of the world at large and that is priceless. So spending just $350 for all of this is a fair deal.

The Beijing Project
This program is for all those who cannot afford to spend more than 6 months abroad. The project includes a 5 day in class training in Practical English Language Training or PELT followed by 3 months of teaching. The 5 days will help you to grasp what works in a classroom and what does not and prepare you to walk into the classroom confidently. So that your three months of teaching are effective and the students learn the essentials. Your trip to China in effect becomes free since TEFL International will reimburse flight fares up to $750. So you only pay a nominal administration fee of $350 for the course.
