A 3 hour guided climb to the summit of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, offers the ultimate experience of Sydney at day or night.

An adventure on the new Skywalk begins when you step outside of the tallest building in Australia – Sydney Tower. Skywalkers are harnessed to the tower before a 30min tour of two platforms including a glass floor & an electronic moving platform.

Australia's No 1 attraction, the Aquarium has a staggering collection of 11,500 Australian marine animals spanning 650 species, including a seal sanctuary and the world's largest Great Barrier Reef exhibit.

The only unique indoor wildlife park in the world with 6000 all-Australian animals is the Wildlife World. It dispalys Australia's unique and indigenous flora and fauna, right in the heart of Darling Harbour.

What better way to view Sydney than experiencing the romance, fun and adventure of a hot air balloon ride. Departing from historic Parramatta, you will enjoy the panoramic views of the city while soaring over picturesque parks and gardens and enjoying the sweeping views of the Sydney skyline and Sydney Olympic Park.


Evening and nightlife

Australia's best known entertainment district is Kings Cross. The area never sleeps, working around the clock to live up to its long heritage as a colourful, energetic and the hub of pubs. Clubs, bars, dance venues, theatre, cabaret and adult entertainment, complimented by a smorgasbord of some of Sydney's best known restaurants and cafes. Pitt Street Mall is Australia's busiest and most cosmopolitan shopping areas and has something for every style and budget and has more than 600 specialty stores.

Weekend excursions

Two World Heritage-listed areas, the second oldest national park in the world, 40 national parks and reserves, renowned wine regions, mountains, rivers, eucalypt-filled valleys, rich tablelands are enough to keep you busy for many weekends to come.

An aerial ride on a gondola, 270 m above the valley of the Kedumba River in the Blue mountains .is an experience to write home about. You can go Kayaking with dolphins at Nelson Bay or re energize your heart and body at a luxury spa in the Hunter Valley, Blue Mountains or Southern Highlands. If you are the kind that loves the wind in your hair then drive the Grand Pacific Drive from the Royal National Park to North Wollongong – with its landmark Sea Cliff Bridge or cruise along the laid-back Hawkesbury River on a houseboat.

For the animal lovers Australia's largest collection of reptiles at the Australian Reptile Park is a discovery. Just an hour and a half away from the city is the World Heritage National Park. . Enjoy bushwalking along well-marked trails, visiting Scenic World where you can go on cable car rides for fantastic views of the Three Sisters, shopping in quaint Leura village, explore the mystical Jenolan Caves. For people who cannot stay away from the water about 2 hours away from Sydney is the Blue Water paradise where you can cruise with the bottle nosed dolphins. If this were not enough try hang-gliding or paragliding at Stanwell Park or have a taste of eleven different beers at the Five Islands Brewery.

The temperature averages a warm 23 ° C (72° F) in summer and averages around 13° C (55° F) in winter. Sydney is bathed in sunshine for around 342 days of the year and has an average annual rainfall of approximately 1220 millimetres (48 inches).

Accommodation

There are two options for accommodation here in Sydney. They are all single rooms, but you are welcome to share should you wish to do so.

We use a small hotel, Harbour Breeze Lodge, about 15 minutes by bus or ferry from the school. All rooms at the Harbour Breeze Lodge have TV, fridge, kitchenette, sink, a comfortable bed and cotton linen. The cost is $260 per week for a single room or $160/per person per week for shared accommodation. This option includes shared bathrooms.

Sydney has a large number of premium hotels available. It is best to organize this kind of accommodation yourself online. Prices start from $180 per day.


About our TEFL Location

TEFL International School is situated at Suite 807, Level 8, 250 Pitt Street Sydney. It is a short walk from Town Hall station. The TESOL International training centre in Sydney is located in an office block that dates back to 1923. It is a heritage-listed building located at the center of Sydney—strategically located near the main shopping area. It's also a short walking distance from the 18th century Sydney Town Hall and Queen Victoria Building. Pitt Street Mall, the Galleries Victoria, The Strand Arcade, the Spanish and Korean quarters, Hyde Park, Oxford Street and many other attractions are also easily accessible.


Connectivity

Busses arrive in Sydney regularly at the Bus Depot located at Central Station and can offer a convenient, budget way of getting to Sydney from other centres within Australia. Most bus companies have ticketing offices located at the Bus Depot at Central Station. Interstate and intercity trains arrive regularly at Central Station. Sydney's main airport is located 15 minutes south of the CBD at Botany Bay.
