TESOL Cebu, Philippines Courses
Why TESOL Course Philippines?
The Philippines – one among the 20 TESOL training locations of TEFL International, are a chain of around 7,000 beautiful islands. The bustling cities and idyllic white-sand beaches make a visit to Philippines worthwhile. Filipinos came from a mixture of Asian, European, and American peoples. Beneath the veneer of Hispanic, Mexican and American heritages, the people, in heart and in spirit, are Asians. They are Asian in race and in geography with an indestructible Asian heritage. The warmth and natural hospitality of the nation's 66,000,000 Filipinos today, is known throughout the world. The 11 cultural, linguistic and racial groups endow the Filipino people with varying customs and traditions. In spite of their diversity, Filipinos have basically two dominant traits: a love of family and a strong religious faith. They also are gentle, friendly, and cheerful people, noted for their courtesy and hospitality. By the virtue of its strong Asian lineage, Philippines have been rightly identified as a TESOL location where the ESL teachers are trained in TESOL methodology helping them find appropriate placement in schools.
What is the attraction?
It was in the province of Cebu that Ferdinand Magellan first set foot in Philippine soil back in 1521. Even before the Spaniards came, trade with the Chinese already flourished in the province. Prosperity has continued, and today, Cebu City, known as the Queen City of the South, has become a thriving, highly urbanized center that comes second to Manila's bustling metropolis and provides enough comfort and entertainment to the TEFL candidates. Magellan's Cross was planted in April 21, 1521 by Ferdinand Magellan.
Cebu City is a vibrant metropolis offering a rich history and many attractions, including historic monuments and natural scenery. Busay Hills provides panoramic views of Cebu City and the surrounding area; while Sudlon National Park is comprised of 696 hectares of woods, with picnic grounds and swimming pools. Cebu is surrounded by beaches and islands which provide an opportunity for varied water sports. It is a setting of immense tourist attraction where an international TESOL course can be comfortably conducted without disturbing the traveling objectives of the TEFL teachers.
