Africa on a weekend. Shamwari Game Reserve is a renowned game reserve
which is only at a distance of one hour from the city of Port Elizabeth.
Numerous species of animals including lion, elephant, rhino, leopard and
buffalo can be seen here. The Grahamstwon is just 125 kilometers from
Port Elizabeth and it is famous for being host to the National Art
Festival. Jeffrey’s Bay or J-Bay is located very near to this city and
is a host to the Billabong Professional surfing contest which takes
place each year as it is said to have the perfect wave.

Connectivity
The city of Port Elizabeth is well connected with the other cities of
South Africa by train, flights and buses. The rail service is not very
fast in South Africa so it is best to travel by road or air. It is
possible to take a car to any part of South Africa as the cities are
well connected by highways.
Weather
The weather of Port Elizabeth is pleasant throughout the year as it is
located by the sea. There is no rainfall in the summer months and
winters bring thunderstorms with it. The winter season is best in this
city and the thunderstorm in the area is truly fascinating. The average
temperature in Port Elizabeth in the winters in 20 degree Celsius and in
the summer months it is 25 degree Celsius.
