TESOL Course in THAILAND, Ban Phe
Why
TESOL in Ban Phe, Thailand?
The land of a thousand smiles – this aptly describes Thailand. Sylvan
beaches, azure waters of the Indian Ocean, elephants, delicious seafood
and the most hospitable people are reasons enough to draw anyone to
Thailand. The TEFL course in Thailand gives you the opportunity to be up
close and immerse your self in this unique experience while honing your
teaching skills at the TEFL schools to confirm success in the career of
ESL teaching.
What is the attraction?
Thailand is different to different people. It depends on what you are
seeking. The silver beaches make you feel like the ‘lotus-eaters’
–soaking in the sun or indulging in water sports. The mountains in the
north are the habitat of many rain forest animals and especially the
white elephant. While Bangkok and other cities are bustling with modern
amenities of city life, a TESOL course would certainly be noble excuse
to bask in the glory of Thailand.
What is in it for you?
Whether you are in Banphe or Phuket, pursuing your
TEFL Certification
Course, you will be fascinated by the people and their ability to smile
in all adversity. The respect with which every student interacts with
their teacher, how visitors and guests have a special place in their
hearts, the warmth with which everyone is greeted makes the place so
tourist friendly and convenient for short term ESL jobs, too.
Thailand is a shopper’s paradise. The best brands in the world vie for
place with the local produce. Every street corner is an on slot of
sight, sound and smell.
It is a place to discover home made coconut ice creams, lovely curries,
plentiful seafood and even fried insects if you like to try out new
things. There are all kinds of food to satisfy the most fastidious
eater. However once you have tasted Thai cuisine you will never want to
eat anything else.
On the tourist map
The whole country is a traveler’s delight. The beaches of Phuket and Hua
Hin, the island of Koh Samet, the mountains of Chiang mai, the markets
and the Grand Palace of Bangkok or the temple town of Ayuthaya - there
is so much to explore that a single visit to Thailand may not be enough.
The TESOL Certification Program in Thailand therefore rides the highest
in the scale of popularity as far as TEFL training locations are
concerned.
Evening and Nightlife in Thailand
“One night in Bangkok…….” is how a song goes and tries to capture the
lures of the nightlife in Bangkok. Thailand is dotted with pubs and
Karaoke bars as the Thais belief in having fun with a capital F. A
TESOL
program thus set in Thailand can hardly stay uninfected by this
typically Thai spirit of life.
Weekend Excursions
While you are doing the course at Banphe, the tiny fishing town in
Thailand, you can go across to the beautiful Koh Samet Island in just 30
minutes on the weekends and have the time of your life there or to the
Koh Chang Island, which is close by. You can drive down to Bangkok or
Pattaya from Banphe for a weekend trip to compensate the slog-hours in
the TESOL classroom and come back refreshed to take on the detailed and
extensive TESOL curriculum.
But if you are in Phuket then life is a beach because Phuket is rated as
one of the top beaches in the world. So the famous Phi Phi Islands is
for you to rediscover over the weekends after week-long
TEFL classes.
About Our TEFL Location
Tucked away in a small fishing village on the Gulf of Thailand is a
place called Ban Phe. It is about 180 km from Bangkok. The island of Koh
Samed is on every tourist’s list to Thailand, therefore every tourist
who wants to go to Koh Samed has to pass Ban Phe to take a boat to the
island.
Once you leave the hustle and bustle of Bangkok and hit the road to Ban
Phe the scene changes. The nearly three hour drive takes you through
rural and semi urban areas and once you reach Ban Phe the Ocean takes
your breath away. Ban Phe, which has been intelligently chosen to be one
of the 3 TESOL training centers in Thailand, is a stretch of unending
beach. The azure blue sky, silver beach and the gentle zephyr makes you
languid like Tennyson’s ‘Lotus Eaters’. Yet this sleepy town has all the
amenities that an international tourist on move would require – bars,
restaurants, cyber cafes and a market. Every Monday and Thursday one can
shop and eat at the temporary local market or go to the big shopping
Malls at Rayong over the weekend. However the main attraction for the
TEFL certificate seekers is the Koh Samet island which is half an hour
away and its silhouette is visible all the time from ban Phe beckoning
one and all like a temptress.
Connectivity
Banphe is 180 km away from Bangkok. There is an hourly Bus service from
Banphe to Bangkok from 6 am to 6 pm everyday. Banphe is well connected
to most parts of the country by bus. There are also taxi services and
two wheeler taxies in and around Banphe. Shuttle vans called Songtans
ply regularly from Banphe to Rayong and other places.
There is an international airport on Phuket Island welcoming direct
flights from Europe, Singapore and Hong Kong, although more available
and inexpensive flights go to Bangkok. From Bangkok, Bangkok Airways
runs very inexpensive flights directly to Phuket, offering breathtaking
views of Thailand’s landscape. These flights cost about 80 USD one way.
Buses run from Bangkok to Phuket, and the twelve-hour ride will cost
approximately 25 USD. There is no train station on Phuket Island. All
these provisions available around the TEFL location in Banphe
make the
TESOL Program even more enticing for the prospective teachers on lookout
for ESL jobs in Thailand.
